(Don) LEE Ann Smith

Life after high school has been a great adventure. I've lived in Southeastern Kentucky. South central Kentucky far western Kentucky and currently in Southwestern Florida. I've been employed in the magazine wholesale distribution, newspaper advertising, retail department store, a hospice, juvenile treatment shelter and with the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice before retiring in 2008 due to open heart surgery. I've been married twice. I've have four children and six grandchildren. I have a diverse family with three lovely bi-racial grandchildren and an adopted daughter from China. All my elder children and their spouses graduated from Berea College. I graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1994 with a degree in Social Work.
After retiring I starting transitioning and living as my true self. I put away a false role of living as a male and am living like the woman I am. I am finally free of pretending being someone I am not. I go by my middle name, Lee. On February 6th 2019 I officially had my name changed to Lee Anne Smith.
My travels include most of the eastern US and a few Midwestern states. I've cruised in the Gulf of Mexico and spent two weeks in China with the adoption of my youngest daughter. I love the Southeastern mountains of Kentucky with their natural beauty in each season of the year.
I know I'm not suppose to write a book but you know we each have our own life story to tell. I'll stop here and look forward to seeing everyone in July of 2017.
